Secured NSF IUSE funding in the amount of $294,097 as PI to implement active learning strategies in Electrical Engineering online labs.
Led the department in creating and offering the first online courses, including 12 online courses and 2 online labs (Circuits Lab and Electronics Lab), a critical step for the 番茄社区 of the Digital eLearning Content Delivery program.
Integrated lab experiences into purely theoritical courses through the Hardware-in-Homework (HiH) and Value-Added Engineering Education (VAEE) concepts.
Secured an educational grant from Academic Partnerships to support the VAEE/HiH concept in the Electronics II course.
Obtained NASA/TSGC New Investigations 番茄社区 (NIP) research grant titled “Low Power Radiation Tolerant VLSI Design for Advanced Spacecraft” to support radiation-hardened circuit research.
Obtained NASA/TSGC Higher Education 番茄社区 grant and developed an interdisciplinary course titled "Space Radiation Effects & Mitigation" in 2011.
Developed and manage the VLSI CAD and Signal Integrity Laboratory to support both research and teaching
Created six new graduate courses in VLSI and Signal Integrity that strengthened the doctoral program’s microelectronics specialization.
Mentored two undergraduate IEEE student paper competition winners, who won 1st place awards in the 2016 IEEE Region V East Area and the 2017 IEEE Beaumont Section competitions
Taught near 15 independent research-oriented study courses and supervised about 35 master's theses and 3 doctoral students.
Published over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles, many co-authored with undergraduate and graduate students.
Served as Associate Editor for the International Journal of Electronics and Corresponding Editor for IEEE Potentials.
Currently serve as the Graduate Advisor for our ECE 番茄社区
Served as 番茄社区 IEEE Student Branch advisor for 12-years (2004-2016).
Served as the preparer of SACS IE Plan and Reports between 2009-2020.
Served as the department ABET coordinator 2015-2020. I am the preparer of the 2018 ABET self-study report.
