Adobe Connect: How To Download Existing Recordings

The Department of Distance Education would like to announce that we will be ending support for Adobe Connect on July 1st, 2025. This decision comes as part of our effort to streamline our technology platforms and focus resources on our existing supported solutions that provide similar functionality.

In an effort to assist faculty's transition to supportive alternatives, we offer this tutorial on how to download Adobe Connect recordings.

Downloading Video Recordings

There have been a few minor changes to the downloading process, but the steps are still the same.

  1. Log into Adobe Connect and navigate to your My Meetings tab.
  2. Find the Meeting room where your recordings are located.
  3. Once inside a Meeting room, navigate to the Recordings Tab.
  4. Find the session recording you wish to download and select the Actions drop down.
  5. Click Export Recording to download.

Unlike before, your download speed is dependant on your computer system and internet connection. You are no longer required to wait for the entire length of the recording. The resulting file will be in the .mp4 file format and can be found in your Downloads folder.

Important Note: While recordings before August 2022 are technically accessible through an alternative process, we strongly encourage using current materials for your course content. Recent recordings offer improved quality, updated information, and seamless access through our standard system. Additionally, older content may contain outdated information or be subject to privacy restrictions.
