Recently discharged from the military, Jess returns to her Florida hometown carrying the weight of her experience in Afghanistan—both the vivid memories and the painful burns that have left her physically and emotionally scarred. But home isn’t the haven she expected; everything has changed, perhaps even more than she has.

Lindsey Ferrentino’s powerful and deeply affecting play was inspired by “Snow World,” a real virtual reality therapy developed to help burn survivors—particularly veterans—cope with chronic pain and trauma.
